Eye Rejuvenation

The eyes are the mirror of your soul. The skin around your eyes has to be in harmony with your inner state. My patients often complain that their appearance does not correspond to their inner state. They mostly are dissatisfied with bags sagging over their eyes, wrinkles and bags under their eyes. What is the solution?

Blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure intended to reshape your eyelids. I perform the upper eyelid blepharoplasty through an incision made along the skin fold of the upper eyelid removing the strip of wrinkled, lax skin and, if necessary, hernial outpouchings.

Correctly performed surgery and good suturing make your eyes look young again. The upper eyelid blepharoplasty surgery is often combined with the endoscopic forehead lift. The lower eyelid blepharoplasty surgery presupposes the incision below the eyelashes of the lower lids. I pay special attention to hernial outpouchings. Recently I have often performed surgery for the translocation of the fat pads to the lacrimal groove which makes you look younger and more harmonious. If necessary, I may proportionally remove excessive fat-filled outpouchings. Proportionally excising the skin, I purposely fix the external corner of your eye reducing wrinkles and flabbiness in the region of your lower eyelid, strengthening and lifting your lower eyelid and making your eyes almond-shaped.

In case my patient is a young person with marked fat-filled outpouchings, I perform the transconjunctival blepharoplasty. This technique presupposes the removal of hernial outpouchings without skin incisions. I have noticed that this surgery is mostly performed on patients with a hereditary susceptibility to outpouchings at a young age.

In the post-operative rehabilitation period you have to wear strips to avoid puffiness, as well as to temporarily stop watching television, reading and so on to limit the eye stress.
